Okanagan Community Markets at a Glance

Okanagan Community Markets knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives.  In 2021, our Non-Profit Organization realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Okanagan Community Markets.

Health & Food Safety

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge.  Programs were created to increase awareness and knowledge of food safety and safe food handling procedures for farmers/community market vendors, market managers, farm gate vendors, home kitchen small scale food processors, and others who may make, bake or produce food products for public consumption outside of regulated food service establishments. As well as trying to protect the general public, this education program will also help individuals who want to  sell their wares become trusted and successful vendors.

With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. Learn more about our work by getting in touch with our team today.

Helpful Resources

At Okanagan Community Markets, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. Health Clinic is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.
